Description
Sierra has developed a new heavyweight 147gr in the 9mm Sports Master, lineup. At 0.355 in diameter, it can be used in other cartridges, but it is ideally suited for use in the 9mm Luger (9×19) cartridge to produce sub-sonic velocities. A substantial hollow point is included in the lead core, and that lead core is surrounded by a gilding metal jacket complete with skives at the meplat for a reliable expansion quality. The jacket covering the nose radius gives it a reliability when feeding from the magazine into the chamber in semi-auto cartridges. Considered a general-purpose bullet, it works well at the range, for competition, as well as having some hunting applications. Accuracy potential has been exceptionally well in our testing.
